When Dan died, Dolphia became a widow who committed herself to commemorating Dan and taking care of children. She ran family’s different business concerns and ensured that the family aired their history, power like how they build their marriage.

Together, they welcomed four children. Twin girls called Debra Lee and Danna Lynn, David and Dirk. The influence of ‘Bonanza’ lifted Dan but their family life seemed to be very normal. The couple remained very supportive of each other to the end of Dan in 1972; Dolphia proceeded to work hard to foster the family business.
