Katherine Anna Kang was born on 15 December 1970. She is an American video game designer. In 2000, as founder and CEO of Fountainhead Entertainment, she championed Machinima and became known as one of Machinima’s biggest supporters. She produced, wrote, and directed various Machinima pieces and co-founded the Academy of Machinima Arts & Science in Machinima.

Dumrens includes Anna, the Machinima piece, in the top ten lists of every prominent Machinima maker worldwide.at Fountainhead Entertainment, Kang produced and designed mobile games for ID Software. Some of the best mobile games of their time heralded the mobile game titles Doom RPG and the Orcs & Elves series. Kang eventually ported Orcs & Elves to the Nintendo DS.

In 2000, Kang wrote, directed, and produced the documentary Gamers. The documentary included interviews with video gaming luminaries, with a brief focus on history and predictive trends. Kang released the documentary in limited distribution throughout Europe and the US in 2001.
